It didn’t originally have that fade. As my sole attempt at converting it from a messy sketch into something presentable, I did, in fact, remove the crashing halt you would have preferred. I especially like how the vocal drifts into some non-existent key on "It's the only song we know". The stops and starts. The hurky jerky-ness. The craziness. Basically, the GrandmaMelonheadNess. The only thing I'd change is the fade at the end. I'd rather have this machine come to a crashing halt, an explosion, a final destruction. Of course, it’s the layers of wrongness that make it right.
